"I consider helping people with local government problems an important part of being a County Commissioner," Becky says. Becky Heron likes to help people! She receives calls day and night from people who are having problems with zoning, taxes, developers who don't keep their word, animals, road repairs, trash on road, etc. Becky knows local government. She knows the people in command. She knows how to get things done. Becky does her homework. She reads reports, minutes, zoning requests and the bushels of other papers associated with the three monthly meetings of the County Commission. If you watch the Commission meetings in person or on cable 8, you know who asks the important questions. Her husband thinks she works 60 or more hours a week for Durham County citizens. Becky can make a real contribution to Durham County in the next four years. She won't let anyone run over the zoning ordinance or any other regulatory ordinances of Durham County. She will look very hard at the County budget and how it is spent. Taxes are an important consideration for the County citizens.
